Our Illumicrate Fantasy theme for November is . . . SAINTS AND SINNERS!
Better a noble sinner than a villainous saint; there is fallacy in pure goodness and pure evil unrestraint.
Our November book is an adult dark fantasy and you’ll not want to miss it if you’re fans of:
- Social commentary in a fantasy setting
- Found family
-
Deeply unserious heroines and hot priests
Branded a heretic for helping women who dare to control their own womb, a healer is banished to an isolated town to await a trial likely ending at the stake. Her life rests in the hands of her court-appointed warden - a pious, unyielding priest hiding a dangerous secret. Recognising their shared fight, the healer uses her banned knowledge to protect the lives the priest is risking everything to hide. As she roots herself in town and earns his respect, their uneasy alliance grows... but could burn them both to ash.
